The Acting Personality

My new essay on Jennifer Lawrence, acting, authenticity, and fame for Indiewire’s Press Play. Note: I have written extensively about John Cusack’s screen persona and mythology, and would have liked to analyze Ryan Gosling’s, as well as Jack Nicholson’s (! That clip of him hitting on Lawrence is mind-boggling), which I will do in the future, as Gosling is, in a way, the new (more modern) Cusack for me. But I only had a 1000+ words and the assignment was to write about Lawrence.
